This session is for teachers who have newcomer emergent bilingual students in their classroom at the beginning and intermediate level of English proficiency. Participants will learn how to provide a safe and thriving environment, meet their affective needs, provide high-quality instruction, and establish partnerships with newcomer families.

Come learn methods for delivering appropriate content-area instruction and ways to support your secondary newcomer emergent bilinguals: 

 • Develop beginning English language skills 

 • Acclimate to the U.S. school system
