Day 1- Classroom discussion 8 hrs.
- A quick review of the current TEA Accountability and overview of licensure documents
- A quick review of all weld test lesson plans with teacher input on best practices to share
- Intro to pipe welding, inspection, stainless, aluminum, metallurgy, welding symbols
- A review of the AWS SENSE and AWS Certified Welder TEA Accountability items
- New international online cutting torch curriculum and certification process
Day 2- Classroom discussion 4 hrs. Welding lab discussions 4 hrs.
- Instructor demo of the advanced weld test lesson plans and destructive testing
- Plate preparation and cutting of beveled angles using a track torch
- Using the hydraulic press and AWS D1.1 guided bend testing fixture
- Using the multi-meter to record actual arc amperage and voltage in calculation heat input values and calibrating welding machine output
- AWS and CWB Certified welder testing available to those who wish to obtain and qualify
- Intro to X-ray of welded plate and corresponding film interpretation
