There are two goals for this workshop:  1) help teachers target areas in the STAAR EOC essay where their own students need to improve, and 2) provide strategies to help strengthen student writing.

To accomplish this, we will take a closer look at the current EOC Essay Rubric and pull some gems from the Scoring Guide.  Participants will be asked to bring essays from their own students, and we will work together to plan a course for improving student scores.
