R8FTAA-First Time Administrator Academy


Important Session Information:


FTAA (FIRST TIME ADMINISTRATOR ACADEMY)
This Academy provides a structured, systemic process for assisting the new principal or assistant
principal in further developing skills in guiding the everyday operation of a
school, leading instruction, adjusting to the particular culture of a school
district, and developing a personal self-awareness in the campus
administrator role. FTAA assists districts in meeting the certification
requirements of TAC 241.15, TAC 241.25, and TAC 241.30. FTAA is 100%
aligned with T-PESS and the Effective Schools Framework.

Participants: Campus Administrators in their first or second year. Each participant is required to retain
a campus/district mentor.
Program Design: FTAA participants will meet a minimum of four times a year, allowing participants to
form collaborative relationships. Included in the cost, participants will receive the book for the FTAA
