Esperanza for the Spanish Speaking Dyslexic Student






The Esperanza program is a Spanish multisensory structured language approach for reading, writing, and spelling. The goal of the Esperanza program is to provide a multisensory, sequential, systematic approach to achieve Spanish literacy. This training will train participants how to implement the program.

Important Session Information:


Join Elsa Cardenas-Hagen, of Esperanza, while she trains (over a period of two days) how to teach the Esperanza program that focuses on helping students develop a strong knowledge of the structure of the Spanish language. Learn how to transition the student into English by helping the student apply his or her knowledge of phonology and the rules of Spanish to the acquisition of English. This program has been used successfully with beginning readers in bilingual programs as well as with dyslexic Spanish-speaking students.&
