Building a Q4 Framework for Instruction for Grade 8 Social Studies: Fifth Six Weeks

This day of planning will be centered around Rick DuFour's Four four critical questions when planning/developing lessons and units.

  • What do we want all students to know and be able to do?
  • How will we know if they learn it?
  • How will we respond when some students do not learn?
  • How will we extend the learning for students who are already proficient?

During this planning and deep-dive session, participants will work collaboratively to develop lesson plans and instructional strategies/ideas for the first six-weeks grading period.  The day will be blended with both lesson-planning and a deep-dive into TEKS Resource (IFDs) to ensure that instruction is TEKS based and designed to engage students in both the face-to-face and virtual scenario.
