Important Session Information:
Participants will gain an understanding of second language acquisition and a basic understanding of how to design instruction that focuses on providing English learners access to grade-level content while acquiring English skills. Participants will make a connection between sheltered instruction and the ELPS (TAC Chapter 74.4) which must be implemented as an integral part of each subject in the required curriculum. Participants get the opportunity to explore methods and strategies while applying them to real-world learning situations and students.
