This class aims to teach operators of the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program the basic meal pattern knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to run efficient and compliant programs including the history and
legislative changes that affect the school meal standards. Participants will learn to plan appealing menus that meet compliance standards and use resources efficiently. Topics addressed in this training include menu-planning fundamentals, useful menu-planning tools and recognizing a reimbursable meal.
