G/T Six-Hour Update- G/T Online: Foundations of Gifted Education






In this e-course, participants will learn how giftedness and serving gifted students was defined in the past, and how that past has shaped present legal and conceptual understandings of giftedness. Participants will contribute ideas to the discussion board, share their own experiences, and research related information. The objectives will be met through internet investigations, investigation of district information and practices, and threaded discussions. A 10 question end-of-course knowledge test is also included.

Once you are registered for this course, you will receive a workshop ID along with directions on how to access this e-course. 


Important Session Information:


In this course, you will learn how we defined giftedness and served gifted students in the past, and how that past has shaped our present legal and conceptual understandings of giftedness. You will contribute ideas to the discussion board, share your own experiences, and research related information. You will take a 10-question test at the end of the course. This course will be facilitated through Region 8 ESC's online CANVAS system.  Once you have registered, a link to CANVAS will be sent with further information on how to get into the workshop modules.
