Description: This session will provide the ethical and rational basis for addressing swallowing and feeding in a school district. Attendees will learn why they need to address it and will be given a framework for getting started in their district utilizing a team approach and a systematic procedure. The framework includes the following:
     1). Four foundations for addressing swallowing and feeding; 
     2). Essential components and a plan for district implementation;
     3). Administrative decisions and considerations;
     4). Outline for district implementation

Important Session Information:


The Speech Pathology Webinar Series has been well received across all regions of Texas by the community of speech pathologists and other school staff. The purpose of the webinar series is to provide high level learning opportunities to the speech pathologist in the public schools of Texas. These webinars are interactive and have proved to be an excellent source of continuing education for many. Due to the increasing participation as evidenced by growing audiences, we continue this successful endeavor by collaborating with “ALL” twenty Education Service Centers (ESCs) across Texas. We remain dedicated in providing you more outstanding topics and speakers each year. 2.5 TSHA CEUs offered for this course.
