Day 2- G/T Online: Assessing the Needs of G/T Students
Session 1 May 2020






In this course, you will gain understanding of how to implement Texas law and the State Board of Education rule concerning the identification, assessment, and placement of gifted and talented students. You will also learn about methods of assessments that help accurately identify the needs of the gifted students in a district. You will contribute ideas to a discussion board, conduct reflective research, share your own experiences, and take short quizzes and assessments throughout. This course is facilitated through Region 8 ESC's online CANVAS system. Once you have registered in the Region 8 workshop system, a link to the course will be send, directing you to CANVAS and your course.

COVID-19, all Region 8 ESC G/T professional development sessions this summer are online through Region 13 ESC's e-campus system. Region 8 G/T Consultants, Susan Huizinga and Steve Hammons, will facilitate your sessions.
