Who: Special Education Resource and Self-Contained Teachers Grades K - 12 who have struggling readers in their class.

Where: Region 8 ESC

What: Special Education Teachers will learn the 5 core areas of reading.  They will learn how to assess the core areas of reading and develop PLAAFP/GOALS based on this data.  Additionally, they will use this data to diagnosis the instructional needs of their students and plan specially designed instruction for each student.  A teacher will walk way with the knowledge and materials to begin or enhance their reading resource or self-contained classroom.

Requirements: Plan to attend all days.  Plan to implement the knowledge learned in your classroom and upload artifacts.
