Autism Spectrum Disorder and Assistive Technology: Supporting Literacy in Individuals with Autism through the use of Assistive Technology






This is one course in a series created by the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence in partnership with the Texas Statewide Leadership for Autism Training and TEA.  Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Assistive Technology: Supporting Literacy in Individuals with Autism through the use of Assistive Technology focuses on understanding common literacy barriers for students with ASD, features of technology that address literacy barriers, and the process for feature matching student needs and technology features. 
 
Presented by Heather Bridgman and Amy Bixler-Coffin.
Heather Bridgman has been working in the field of Assistive Technology for more than 20 years.

Amy Bixler Coffin, M.S., is Program Director of the Autism Center at OCALI.
