This workshop is presented by the Texas Association of School Personnel Administrators. This updates school leaders on state educator certification requirements. Participants will learn about the variety of options available for educator certification increasing their knowledge regarding staffing recruiting and placement options.

CERTIFICATION FUNDAMENTALS

This workshop is a comprehensive introduction and a critical update for new and experienced school personnel on the essentials of educator certification in Texas.

Presenters Dr. Rose Benitez, TASPA Executive Director and Dr. Lolly Guerra, TASPA Program Director, both experienced human resources administrators, will begin with defining certification categories and work through  classes of certificates, permits and assignment criteria for general, specialized and CTE teachers.
