Technology Instructional Strategies for the GT Student

This session will explore various technological strategies for various GT service models such as GT pullout, push-in (inclusion), and self-contained.  The goal is to introduce strategies that will aid in differentiated instruction, increased engagement, and added depth and complexity as well as student-based inquiry and independent research and the effective use of technology to aid in TPSP projects.  This session’s six-hour training will give participants their mandated six-hour GT update certification.

Important Session Information:

Texas teachers who service GT students are required to get their six-hour GT update annually. This year's focus is on identifying, servicing, and instructing GT students who come from low-socioeconomic conditions.  The workshop will also focus on the TPSP as an effective teaching tool in servicing GT students.  There will also be an array of effective instructional activities spiraled throughout the workshop to address engagement, rigor, depth and complexity, and higher-level thinking.
