TEKS Resource System for New Teachers
Where do I start?






We are hired, now what do we do?  The TEKS Resource System provides content and support for an online curriculum managment system.  The content includes curriculum components and sample unit assessment items aligned to the most current versions of the State Board of Education standards (TEKS) for the following subject areas: 

  • English Language Arts and Reading (K-12)
  • Spanish Language Arts and Reading (K-5)
  • Mathematics (K-12)
  • Science (K-12)
  • Social Studies (K-12)
  • Spanish translated versions of Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and SLAR (K-5)

 


Important Session Information:


This will be an introduction for new teachers on how to use the TEKS Resource System to guide instruction.  Let's get rid of the question, "where do I start?"  We will go through the system to understand the components and the resources available.  In the afternoon we will plan that first unit.

You must be a core subject teacher in a district that uses TEKS RS.
