Section 504

Lawyer David Richards will provide an overview of Section 504 as a civil rights law and a complete picture of the Section 504 process, from child find to eligibility to creation of the Section 504 Plan. He will illustrate best practices and emphasize compliance with the law, including discussion of the different approaches taken by OCR and the federal courts with respect to Section 504 issues. Participants in this full-day session will put their knowledge into action as Section 504 Committees to resolve a series of hypothetical Section 504 scenarios. Plus, you'll take home valuable Section 504 forms to share with your colleagues.
